I have faced a lot of difficult situations over the years and, to overcome them all, I had to use the proper weapons. There is a whole collection of it, but the one I find most useful is humour, with a capital H. Properly used, it can be devastating. However, enhancing one’s expertise over time is important. This “Dictionnaire amoureux de l’Humour”, by Jean-Loup Chiflet, is my favourite bedtime reading, and I refer myself to it quite often, which is both a useful and pleasant task. While remaining serious is important, it is a good idea to learn how to smile and how to make others smile. It is, undoubtedly, a fine weapon.
